At Tambua Utu Foundation, every visit that creates smiles, restores dignity, and strengthens hope leaves a lasting impact on our children and families. We were deeply honored to host visitors from Lotus Humanitarian and She Dares to Wander for a meaningful day of connection, learning, and compassion.
The visit provided an opportunity to share the heart of our work supporting children with disabilities through therapy, rehabilitation, assessments, and assistive services. Our guests spent quality time interacting with the children, learning about the daily realities faced by families of children with Cerebral Palsy, autism, visual impairment, and other disabilities, while also observing therapy sessions and wheelchair assessments in progress.
One of the most touching moments of the day was witnessing children receive properly fitted wheelchairs that immediately improved their comfort and mobility. Sixteen wheelchairs were fitted and distributed on the same day, alongside 17 white canes for children with
visual impairment, 5 walkers, blankets, and sensory toys designed to support children with autism in their learning and development journeys.
Beyond the donations, the visit created moments of joy, inclusion, and encouragement for both the children and caregivers. Conversations around challenges, resilience, and the importance of accessible support systems reminded us that meaningful partnerships can transform lives in powerful ways.
