Again ‘The right to school program’ provided wheelchairs to 10 Children with physical disabilities
On its first quarter of year two, ‘the right to school program’ started by providing wheelchairs to 10 selected children with physical disabilities to facilitate their mobility needs including going to school. Three children out of those ten are the students from St. Fransis primary school who were (part of those 25) received uniform and stationaries last year (Baraka, Minaeli and Hadija). The three students were prioritized because during our visit to their school we observe how uncomfortably they were carried by their fellow students or their teachers from on place to another and it was necessary to have wheelchair so as to reduce the risks of accident while carried, and increase independence when need to move from one area to another. The remained 7 children are completely new beneficiaries selected from Masai land in Siha District. Three of them (Baraka Laiza, Boaz Nko and Angel Kimashi) are studding at Ormelili primary school while the remaining 4 children are in the process of enrollment in different schools.
